Not Much Happening

I don't have much to say. I found out that I do have to go to an orientation for my placement school on the Friday before I go in when the teachers do. Luckily, I will not have to be there the whole time because I have already seen the training videos, so I get to leave before them. I put off for work that day, so then I will have to rest of the day off. Which will be nice since that next week I will have to go in everyday for who knows how long.

The last couple of days the weather has been very nice. It has not been too hot. I just hope Saturday and Sunday will be like that too, so then I can sit out all day without worrying about getting sweaty before work.

Sorry for the short blog post, but not much is going on and I don't have anything to talk about. Hopefully next week I will have more to discuss with the upcoming semester. I should be finding out soon where my placement is.

Overworked and Underpaid

This was the week where I told work that I would work every day this week full time. Well it was suppose to be this week AND next week, but I told them I couldn't do next week. Though about a week ago they asked me to work everyday and longer hours. It sucks. Hopefully we will get some new people soon that work till 6:30 with no complaints, so then I don't have to work everyday. The last girl complained and just ended up being really annoying and would just leave before she was suppose to.

Working everyday last week was not too bad, but I feel like my summer is now over and I don't even remember it beginning. I need to learn to say no to things that my work asks me especially in the summer.

The teacher that I have been working with is not the nicest and I don't mean to myself, but to the children. There is one girl that has some type of special needs, though we don't know what kind since her mom doesn't believe anything is wrong. It's just really stressful trying to get her to listen or to do what she is told. Then the other children don't understand why she gets out of doing what they have to do.

Today at work, it was so exhausting. In the afternoon we came back in from outside and the one girl I talked about above was awful all day and she only took a 15 minute nap. She does not like to sit still on the carpet, but the teacher wants her on the rug or in a chair, which the girl will do neither. We were about to read a long book and decided to take her up to the front and see if the assistant director would watch her for a little while and she would do not do it.

As I was walking back to the classroom one of the three's teachers said that I could trade with her, which was so incredibly nice of her. I have decided that I will NEVER help work for something ever again because of today. I forgot to mention that they cut my break short too.

I just can't wait for this week to be over. Also, and I can not believe that I'm saying this, but I am looking forward to school starting, so then I don't have to deal with work as much. I know they are not going to be happy with the few hours that I can do next semester. There is nothing I can about it because it's not in my hands.

Documentaries: Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead

Warning: May Contain Spoilers

About:
100 pounds overweight, loaded up on steroids and suffering from a debilitating autoimmune disease, Joe Cross is at the end of his rope and the end of his hope. In the mirror he saw a 310lb man whose gut was bigger than a beach ball and a path laid out before him that wouldn't end well— with one foot already in the grave, the other wasn't far behind. FAT, SICK & NEARLY DEAD is an inspiring film that chronicles Joe's personal mission to regain his health.

With doctors and conventional medicines unable to help long- term, Joe turns to the only option left, the body's ability to heal itself. He trades in the junk food and hits the road with juicer and generator in tow, vowing only to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juice for the next 60 days. Across 3,000 miles Joe has one goal in mind: To get off his pills and achieve a balanced lifestyle.

While talking to more than 500 Americans about food, health and longevity, it's at a truck stop in Arizona where Joe meets a truck driver who suffers from the same rare condition. Phil Staples is morbidly obese weighing in at 429 lbs; a cheeseburger away from a heart-attack. As Joe is recovering his health, Phil begins his own epic journey to get well.
What emerges is nothing short of amazing – an inspiring tale of healing and human connection.

Part road trip, part self-help manifesto, FAT, SICK & NEARLY DEAD defies the traditional documentary format to present an unconventional and uplifting story of two men from different worlds who each realize that the only person who can save them is themselves.

After watching this, I wanted to do a one week juice cleanse, though at the time it was still sprint semester and didn't want it to affect with my school work, so I was going to wait until the summer.

I ended up not doing it for a couple of reasons: 1. I don't have a juicer and they are expensive to purchase 2. Not a fan of vegetables and fruits 3. Not willing to try new vegetables and fruits.

One day maybe I will be able to do, but right now in my life is not the right time. You can watch this on Hulu for free.

Pants Shopping Troubles

I have done two major online orders, one from Burlington Coat Factory and one from Kohls, and most of the items I bought was pants and every single one of them I had to return. It's very disappointing having to return them, but none of them fit right. I was really hoping I hit the jackpot with Burlington because I got so many cheap pants, though the material was strange, they were short, and they were too tight on me.

It must be that I am just too picky because it should not be this difficult to find clothes to wear when teaching. I can find plenty of stores to purchase black or grey dress pants, though I want some other colors. They don't have to be dress pants, but I have been trying to find capris that are not denim in different colors. Lots of stores used to sell them and now I can not seem to find them.

Another problem is finding pants that fit me nicely. Adult pants don't fit me right and most of the time are too long on me anyways. When I would try on those pants, I looked like a little girl playing dress up in her mom's clothes. I decided to try petites, thinking they wouldn't be long on me, then they turned out to be too short. Which was a shame because they fit better on me.

Recently I went back to Kohls and tried on a pair of pants and capris that I was unsure of before. And they fit amazingly. I only got the capris because they were on sale and the pants were not, though I am keeping an eye for when they do and hopefully I will have a 30% off too. I am also thinking of getting the capris in the light khaki color too, since I want more then one pair of capris for placement. The capris are something I can wear anywhere.

Below is the picture of the capris I got:
Here is the link to the other pants I had tried on at the stores that I want.

This is all of the other pants that I have in my closest that I plan to wear to my placement school:

Slightly Obsessed Blogger

I am sure that I'm not the only one out there with a blog that is constantly checking it throughout the day. One of the first things I do on my laptop when it turns on is to check my blog. Then, probably not even an hour later, I have to check my blog again to see if anything has changed.

I even made a binder just for my blog. I printed out a monthly calendar to plan out my posts ahead of time.

Also, I am shocked by how much attention my College Organization Tip 1: Drawer Organizer has received and stills keeps gaining. I would never have imagined that something that I was just doing for myself would have gotten so many repins on Pinterest.

It is going to be a tough time for me during July to not go and check my blog all the time because I need to make sure that I relax this summer. Which reminds that I want to take some days off from work, though I don't think it will be possibly since only a few people a day can take off from work at a time. I am sure that people have already put time off for the summer already. It can't hurt to try anyways.
